Angell Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center is one of 24 centers that are known as Civilian Conservation Centers. These centers are operated by the U.S. Forest Service and encourage students to learn in nature and work to sustain and improve the land they live on. By embracing their natural surroundings, students at these centers are able to train in additional career fields, including wildland firefighting and forestry conservation.

Students and staff volunteer throughout Lincoln County, serving non-profits and community organizations with services vital to each organization.  Angell Job Corps is a key volunteer group for the Waldport Chamber of Commerce and its annual Beach, Bike & Blues Festival.
