Volunteer Coordinator – The Waldport Chamber of Commerce
Judith was raised in the Pacific Northwest including three of her formative years here in Lincoln County. When she left Waldport after 8th grade, her family moved to Toledo, Newport, and after, that she travelled around the country and parts of the world gaining life experience. That included a stint in the Navy studying meteorology. She returned in 2004, and being community minded, has spent quite a bit of time volunteering for such local non-profits as My Sister’s Place, Lincoln County Children’s Advocacy Center, Grace Wins Haven and Samaritan House to name a few.
Judith brings to the table a wealth of experience working with non-profits and coordinating volunteers on many different projects. Some of these projects included two golf tournaments, Director of School Participation at the Terry Fox Run for Cancer Research, and even being in charge of front of house, ticket sales and concessions at a three-day Opera Event in Dubai!
This prodigal daughter is extremely happy to be back and part of this amazing community. After travelling so much, she is happy to be ‘home again’ and looks forward to continuing to contributing to her community in many ways, including helping with the SOLVE Beach Cleanup twice this year. Judith resides in Waldport with her beautiful rescue kitty, Prince Jezzy, and enjoys nature, kayaking, photography, writing, music, and swimming in our local rivers and lakes as often as she can.
