Unveiling of Louis Southworth Sculpture in Waldport

The City of Waldport honors Oregon Black Pioneer Louis Southworth with the construction of the new Louis Southworth Park in 2023.

We are thrilled to announce the arrival and unveiling of the Louis Southworth Bronze Sculpture created by artist Pete Hezler to Waldport!

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 19th
Alsea Bay Bridge Visitor Center & Museum
320 NW Hwy. 101, Waldport, Oregon 97394
Noon to 4:00 P.M.

Louis Southworth On new Platform

Sculptor Peter Helzer will be joined by city, county and state officials in an unveiling ceremony at 1:00 P.M. The sculpture will be placed at the Alsea Bay Bridge Visitor Center & Museum and remain until it can be permanently located at the new Louis Southworth Park sometime next Spring/Summer.

Food and beverage and live fiddle music will be featured and ALL ARE WELCOME!
